Wall-e cake... Just thought you guys might get a kick out of my mom and my recent creation. It's a surprise for my cousins 4th birthday party, which is Wall-e themed. She's going ga-ga over the movie right now.
Just a little back story: For every family funtion/party/birthday, my mom and I usually make the cake. This year, my aunt apted to getting the store-bought Wall-e themed cake. However, my mother wouldn't take no for an answer. A few days ago, she came home from work with shopping bags filled. She had bought 3 poundcake loafs, three cans of cream cheese frosting, a bunch of brown and green food coloring, white fondant, Oreo cookies, chocolate chips, Cherrios, black licorice and a little bit of wire (for structure) and told me her plans. A Wall-e Boot Cake.
( Our creation... )
I know, we are INSANE. Enjoy everyone! ^_^

Going trough the phases with B was painful enough. But if you think you ever might like me back...well, I won't say no. Almost Love A
Dear world I think I fall into love with whoever is closest to me because I am so lonely and in need of love. I'm trying to quit. It brings nothing but heartache. I can't wait to start back to school. So I might find someone who actually likes me. Spinning in circles, Me

I read this book in middle school It was fairly old then, so I'm guessing mid-80's?
A group of 6 teenagers on a camping trip. Only problem is it's a fiendish plot by their parents to kill them to avoid embarrassment. A mother of one of the girls promised not to put a man before her daughter and does so. The daughter seduces they guy as revenge against her mother and ends up pregnant and getting an abortion. It was interesting and I'd love to read it again

Help! When I was abroad in Ireland, I bought a really big fantasy novel from used book table at the library. Before I left, I donated it to the sci-fi club library. Now, I can't remember the name! Help!
The book was actually three novels all crammed into one, all in the same place but in very different times. The main focus is a race a of people who can produce artist who can make their paintings mimic life (think Dorian Gray). At one point, I think someone kills a noble by painting his portrait, then stabbing it. The main villian is a very gifted painter who learns some sort of forbidden art and seals the girl who refused his love into a painting. The books cover several hundreds of years, and the painter is still alive, just shifting into different personalities by painting over his portrait every so often. Somehow, someone figures out about the woman and the painting, and they release her, and the painter dies, I think possibly from shock, but more likely from the magic he kept doing. I don't quite remember.
The book was filled with political tensions between the ruler race and the painting race, with people intermarrying and causing all sorts of problems. Sorry it's so vague!

In other news, coming home smelling like a fish tank five days a week is causing me to go through a lot more soap. :P But the fuzzies are still adorable, and there's always stuff to do that makes the day fly by like minutes. It's nice!

![[User Picture]](http://p-userpic.livejournal.com/75795716/14455332) [Link] | I've posted once before on this site and have since changed ob's and started seeing a midwife (who is amazing! She has a completely different attitude than the ob). Today, I am 25 weeks along.
A couple days ago I went to have an u/s done and we saw my son is in the breech position. I have done a lot of research on this and knew of different techniques to encourage him to turn on his own (from having dad talk to him, telling him to start turning, to pelvic tilts). However, the first thing my doctor and the u/s tech said was that if he doesn't turn by my DUE DATE then they will do a c-section. I laughed, at first. I told them of what I had read and how I'm going to try that. And even if he doesn't turn at all, I would never even consider a c-section until he was at least 2 weeks overdue. That didn't please either of them. Lucky for me, my pregnancy and birth plan doesn't include pleasing either of them. :D I was just disgusted by how quickly they jump to the c-section card. And they bring it up so casually, as if it's no big deal and nothing to get worked up about. But I'm ONLY 25 WEEKS and believe he has plenty of time to turn. I go back in on August 21st and they want me to schedule the c-section then....
..and I didn't argue, yet. I know it's ultimately my decision and that it's not something I'm interested in.
But, what happens if he really doesn't turn? They pushed that he has less than a fifty percent chance of turning but I honestly thought they were just blowing smoke. I'd like to avoid a c-section at all costs but I don't want to jeopardize my son's health. Any suggestions or thoughts? Any thing else I can do to naturally encourage him to turn? And seriously, at 25 weeks should I be so concerned? I didn't expect them to turn this into such an issue so early on and am still really shocked. Is their reaction validated or overboard-doctor-crap?
Thanks in advance for any input!

Another to My Fool Really- what am I thinking? You destroyed me. It has been years and I am just starting to stitch all the pieces back together. And now you are single again. Your marriage failed because you- in your typical fashion- didn't make the choice to commit until you knew she was already gone. And I am coming to you. Traversing several states with the excuse of your birthday just so we can indulge in each other's flesh. As we have done in the not so recent past. In fact- despite options and opportunity neither of us have been with anyone else since the last time we were together. So what else are we indulging in? Is there something deeper drawing us back to each other? Or is it simply that we are both a little lonely and what better for that than the devil that you know? I shall remain in all presentation casual, aloof and non-committal about it all. But you know me better than that. You know that there will be something ticking through my head. As I know there will be something ticking through yours. We will wonder if the other wants something more than what we present on the surface. And I know I will wonder if I want something more. Or am I just there to reclaim a sense of what I lost when you left before? Or perhaps to make you feel something of what you lost when you left before? Or is it just as simple as habit...and you being the devil that I know?
As ever, Your Priestess....

Dear Karaoke Host Guy- You are a nice guy. I like talking to you. But when you first asked me out I let you know that I was not interested in anything more than friendship. You were ok with that. Sadly, I had to cancel. But that didn't mean I was looking for more. When you started to pressure me for time for just the two of us I made a million and one reasons of why it wasn't going to happen. When you asked me out again I said- "I'd love to hang out. Just casual and friendly, right?" You agreed. I also let you know that I was going out of town soon to see my recently single ex that I never stopped loving. With that out of town trip in mind I let you know I had a dozen and one errands and refused to commit to a time/place/ day to get together.
With all of that one would think that you would accept that I did not want anything more than friendship. But today when I told you that I didn't appreciate being pressured to get together and you go off on me since you "made [your] intentions clear". Um yeah- you said you wanted to go on a date with me. I said no. I directly said no. Do my intentions not matter? Did you think if you just pestered me enough I would suddenly be attracted to you and amiable to the idea of dating? For now I will chalk this up to you being young and inexperienced with women. I also hope it is something we can move past an continue to build upon this newly developing friendship. But- you are not enough of a part of my life yet for me to feel a loss of any kind should I have to walk away. I don't want to see you get hurt so if it best that I just cut ties so as not to salt any wounds I'll do that.
But I do think it is really shitty of you to treat me like I have done something wrong when I was VERY direct about what I did..or more specifically DIDN'T want out of our dynamic.
Sorry.

the water of the letter is changed into the wine of the Spirit It is 9:59 PM Friday night in the flow of existence. I have been sitting in our dining room writing in my personal diary and reading my books. The house was getting hot so I shut all the windows and turned on the air conditioner "central air unit". I want to sleep not in a hot house but a house that is comfortable.
Carol left for work around 7:45 PM while I was watching the television program Jeopardy!. After watching Jeopardy I listened to music and wandered the house. I then read and wrote in my personal diary. I could go to bed, but I am not in the mood to close my eyes in sleep. My mind never shuts down any way even when I am suppose to be sleeping. I have too much stuff on my mind these days. I have too much time to think.
This evening I have been reading "Introducing Theological Interpretation Of Scripture: Recovering a Christian Practice" by Daniel J. Treier and "God's Word In Human Words: An Evangelical Appropriation Of Critical Biblical Scholarship" by Kenton L. Sparks.
I think I already mentioned that this afternoon I took Rudy for a walk at Van Raalte Farm. I have been taking walks at Van Raalte Farm going on 17 years. Before we had Rudy we had another dog named Mack. Mack and I use to go for walks all the time at Van Raalte Farm.
I do not know if I have anything to write this evening earth shaking? I suppose I should just close for the night and wait for sleep to come.
